When is it time to select an Orange County roofer to replace your roof? You might face this choice if you notice one of the common warning signs. Among these is: a sagging roof, a thick spread of moss or algae carpeting your once-pristine shingles, and loose shingle granules sprinkled on the ground or lining the rain gutter. Should you discover any of these signs, it’s a good idea to get your roof inspected by a qualified professional. If this expert recommends a roof replacement, you’ll no doubt have a few questions. One of these likely will be – how long will the job take?
The answer will vary, depending on the type of shingles installed by your Orange County roofers. Project duration can range from a few days to more than a week. Wood shakes, for example, fall into the quick category. From start to finish, these require about three or four days to set in place – weather permitting, of course. There is, however, a material installed even more rapidly than wood. That material is asphalt. It takes about one or two days to complete the job with shingles made of this material.
On the other end of the spectrum are materials that have installation times of a week or more. Concrete tiles fall into this category, requiring slightly more than a week to set in place. Close behind are natural slate tiles, which an Orange County roofing company generally installs in about a week.

Super helpful to know how long it will approximately take based on the type of roof we choose. Didn't even consider that the type of roof chosen could make the job take longer. I should have of course, but these just aren't things customers typically think about until much later in the purchase process I guess. So thanks for the info!
